In the Park With Friends
This post was written before we left Eugene. I’m leaving it here as history, but we are no longer doing these Saturday park visits.
Saturday evenings at 6pm, you’ll find us at the park under the freeway, near 2nd and Washington / Jefferson (Eugene, Oregon). We hang out by the stage near the basketball courts, sharing food and companionship with whoever happens to be there.
At around 7pm, we go off and spend another hour or so, connecting with each other, praying and supporting one another in this path.
You are welcome to join us. Come and be loved exactly as you are.
What should you bring? Whatever you have enough of. If you’re scared, but you have material resources, bring new tube socks, some food to share. If you don’t have much stuff, but you have loving attention, just bring your heart. It will all work out.
(If you have somehow got the idea that you have nothing at all to offer, then you really should come. Please, come hungry!)
We are no longer in Eugene, and no longer visiting the park each Saturday. But that doesn’t mean you can’t! If you do, give our love to our friends there.
