Radical Love Project

What we’re doing

People ask us sometimes what we’re doing. What church are you from? What’s your motivation? Why are you here? The answer, to a large extent, is that we don’t know what we’re doing.

Tracy and I have both been drawn for our whole lives to this vision, almost out of the corner of our eyes, of some amazing possibility. It’s taken decades for us to let go enough — maybe to give ourselves permission — to really pursue that vision, and to begin to get clear about who we are.

I’m not sure I can describe the vision. I’ve seen it in the Sermon on the Mount, in small acts of love performed by people around me, and people I’ve heard about. There’s no program, no instruction manual. Just day to day exploring, seeking, feeling our way.

So, in the absence of a building or a club to join, we have this space. We might talk about what it’s like, how it’s scary, what we imagine the Sermon on the Mount to mean, how confused we are about those things… You get the idea. We invite you to talk about it too.

Thanks, Zach. I appreciate your comment. And you know, you don’t have to be religious to choose love. :)
